Flash Gordon Conquers The Universe │ Larry (Buster) Crabbe
In this edition of Liliha Theater I am featuring all twelve chapters of the 1940 serial "Flash Gordon Conquers The Universe", starring Larry (Buster) Crabbe, who incidentally, was raised in Hawaii, and graduated from Punahou School, which is the same school that former President Barack Obama graduated from. Buster always claimed that he was 1/16 Hawaiian. His family has a long history in Hawaii going back to the days of the Hawaiian Monarchy, where his grand uncle Horace Crabbe was chamberlain to King Lunalilo. His grandfather Clarence Crabbe, was the president of the Territorial Senate of Hawaii from 1902 to 1904, and has been called the father of the Republican party in Hawaii. So, as you can see, Buster's roots go way back in Hawaii. Safe journeys to all the fans of Liliha Theater, wherever you may be.

Dracula │ Bela Lugosi
In this edition of Liliha Theater I am featuring the 1931 classic film "Dracula" that was directed by Tod Browning, and starred the immortal Bela Lugosi as Count Dracula. It is not a commonly known fact that Carfax Abbey was the London home that Dracula purchased through Jonathan Harker, his real estate agent. It was here that Dracula would come to meet the lovely Wilhelmina (Mina) Murray, and spread his reign of terror far beyond Transylvania. Movie adaptations of the original Bram Stoker novel combined the Asylum and Carfax Abbey. This provided for a much richer environment in which to stalk Count Dracula. The most obvious example of this is in the 1992 movie "Bram Stoker's Dracula", where the vampire hunters, led by Professor Abraham Van Helsing, enter Carfax Abbey to destroy the crates containing the native soil that Dracula had brought over with him by boat from Transylvania. Dangerous Holiday │ Ronald Sinclair
In this edition of Liliha Theater I am featuring "Dangerous Holiday", starring Ronald Sinclair/Ra Hould. It's the story of Ronnie Kimball (Ronald Sinclair), a child prodigy, who is frustrated with his parents and agents' attempts to exploit his talents. So, to make a long story short, he runs away and gets into all kinds of dangerous situations. Even though this movie was released in 1937, it is still great. By-the-way, Ra Hould changed his name to Ronald Sinclair, just in case there is some confusion about his two names. Safe journeys to all the fans of Liliha Theater, wherever you may be.

The Phantom Empire
In this edition of Liliha Theater, I am featuring "The Phantom Empire". It was first released in 1935, and stars Gene Autry (The Singing Cowboy), Frankie Darro, and Betsy King Ross. It is interesting to note that "The Phantom Empire" is an eclectic mix of science fiction, movie musical, and the traditional western. I find it to be completely charming and irresistible. Please click on the video widget below to watch all twelve installments of this cool serial. Safe journeys to all the fans of Liliha Theater, wherever you may be.
